Hello!

THUNDER AND LIGHTNING: UFC 134

Current UFC Middleweight Champion, "Anderson Silva", will defend his title on August 27 at UFC 134 against the up and coming Yushin "Thunder" Okami.
The face-off is a much anticipated event with Silva bringing his 13 consecutive winning streak to the ring. He is known for his lightning fast speed. UFC president, Dana White, has deemed Silva the greatest fighter in the history of Mixed Martial Arts.

Okami sees things differently, however. Having defeated Silva at Rumble on the Rocks 8 on January 20, 2006, he has plans for a repeat defeat.

Silva is the current Champ and Okami is the last fighter who has beat him. Who will win this nail bitter?

And...there's more! Mauricio Rua will take on Forrest Griffin inthe Light Heavyweight.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Brendan Schuab will fight in the Heavyweight division.

There will be a total of 11 fights in the event which is set to beheld in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

It is only the second UFC event ever hosted in Brazil and sold out in 74 minutes.

RUA VS. GRIFFIN: THE DRAMA UNFOLDS

Our featured fighter for this edition is Light Heavyweight Mauricio “Shogun” Rua who will return to his home country of Brazil just days from now for a rematch against Forrest Griffin in UFC 134.

The two faced off four years ago at UFC 76 with Griffin having won the Ultimate Fighter 1 and Rua being considered by many to be the top Light Heavyweight fighter in the world. Rua was favored to win.

Rua did not win, however. He was taken by a rear naked choke at the bottom of the third round. Some blame the loss on the knee injury Rua was sporting. Others are sure size played a factor with Griffin considerably outweighing Rua.

After that fight, Shogun went on to ultimately win the title when he beat Lyoto Machida in a rematch. The title was lost recently to Jon Jones, however.

Neither Rua or Griffin have ever been defeated in a rematch. For one contender, that will soon change.
