MMA WOMEN CRISTIANE “CYBORG” SANTOS

Santos came on like a storm with MMA women. In her first professional
fight on July 26, 2008, in a bout called EliteXC: Unfinished Business,
against Shayna Baszler, she won by TKO. Strikeforce Hoping to increase her chances to fight Gina Carano, Santos signed on with Strikeforce. On
April 11, 2009, Santos went up against Hitomi Akona for her first
Strikeforce fight in a Showtime event. Though 5.5 pounds over weight,
she managed to come out victorious with a TKO in the third round.
And she didn't stop there.
Debut Her real debut was against Gina Carano in a much anticipated fight for Strikeforce on August 15, 2009. It
was the first female main event with a major promotion and it is
estimated 576,000 viewers were watching when she won by TKO four
minutes and fifty-nine seconds into the first round. She was an
overnight sensation. She has set the state for MMA women. BiograhpyBorn
in Brazil on July 9, 1985, Cristiane Justino Venancio Santos played
handball at the national level in Brazil until being discovered by a
Chute Boxe Academy trainer. She is married to MMA fighter, Evangelisto Santos who is also dubbed “Cyborg”. They both train at the famous Chute Boxe Academy. She sports a large tatoo on her back and wears the brand
Hitman Fight Gear.
Since coming to fight in the United States, Cyborg is 4 for 4. Where will it go from here?
She defended her championship title against Marloes Coenen
on January 30, 2010 in a fight that was the main event.
